The ECOVACS DEEBOT T90 PRO OMNI is a premium midrange robot vacuum and mop aimed at households that want an automated roller mop without moving to the brand's flagship X-series. Its turret-free design and textured dock look less utilitarian than many rivals. The appeal is strongest for mostly hard floors, but cleaning results vary sharply between controlled tests and extended home use. It deserves a conditional recommendation, particularly if shedding pets or carpet protection are priorities.

## Roller mopping and pet-hair pickup

The OZMO Roller 3.0 uses a 10.6-inch roller that spins at up to 200 rpm and receives fresh water as it cleans. Edge extension helps it reach along walls. In one controlled dried-stain test, it scored 157 points against a 108-point category average, while a separate home evaluation praised cleaning around room perimeters and across open floors. Another three-month home trial found streaks on wood and spills that stain recognition missed. Strong stain removal is possible; consistently clean results across homes are less certain.

ECOVACS advertises 30,000 Pa of suction, but that specification cannot settle the disagreement over vacuuming. A controlled medium-pile carpet test recovered 81% of embedded sand and grit, versus a 78% average. The same testing program recovered all flattened 2.5-inch pet hair and recorded no wrapping in a separate seven-inch hair test. Another home review also found no brush wrap, although carpet cleaning was only okay.

Those favorable results contrast with a home containing two Border Collies, where hair remained on hard floors and carpets and tangled around the brush and wheels. Pet owners should judge early cleaning runs closely instead of assuming the anti-tangle design removes brush maintenance.

## Obstacle detection and carpet protection

Avoiding clutter and completing a reliable cleaning routine are different jobs. The T90 avoided 23 of 24 objects in controlled obstacle tests, yet a home evaluation found it circling beneath dining chairs. A separate trial needed six mapping attempts, including one spoiled by an open wardrobe, followed by manual room corrections.

More concerning, that trial reported mopping in carpeted bedrooms despite carpet areas being marked, plus cleaning starts without a command or schedule. Room and zone cleaning provided a workaround for the carpet issue. Check floor recognition and boundaries before trusting unattended mixed-floor runs.

The app supports room routines, scheduling, suction adjustments, and water-flow settings. Routine changes can be straightforward once mapping is settled, although setup and some advanced settings drew criticism for being confusing.

## Dock upkeep and charging

The dock washes and dries the roller, dispenses detergent, and empties debris into a disposable bag. Its pull-out tray is easy to rinse, but water-tank filling and emptying remain regular chores. The robot's 250-milliliter dustbin is small; increasing auto-empty frequency can help with bulky debris.

Access to the onboard dirty-water tank is another concern: one home evaluation could not remove it for cleaning. No odor had appeared after about two months, which leaves longer-term hygiene unresolved. ECOVACS also claims PowerBoost restores 10% battery in three minutes during dock visits, potentially reducing charging interruptions on longer jobs.

## Verdict

The T90 Pro Omni suits buyers with mostly hard floors who value roller mopping and are comfortable adjusting room settings. Its strong controlled stain results, capable obstacle recognition, and automated dock make it appealing when those functions work reliably in the home. Buy from a seller with a clear return policy and check mopping consistency early.

Carpet-heavy households, owners of heavily shedding dogs, and anyone expecting unattended reliability should be more cautious. The Dreame L50 Ultra recovered 90% of embedded grit in the same controlled test, making it a relevant carpet-focused comparison. Conflicting hair and mopping results, carpet-recognition failures, and recurring upkeep prevent a broad recommendation for the T90.
