Samsung Expands Android 17 Rollout to Five Galaxy Tab S10 Models
One UI 9 is reaching more Samsung tablets, starting in South Korea, with interface improvements and updates to DeX and Samsung Notes.
Technology news
Samsung has begun expanding its Android 17-based One UI 9 update to the Galaxy Tab S10 family. According to a November 6 report from German technology publication ComputerBase, the rollout now includes the Galaxy Tab S10+, Tab S10 Ultra, Tab S10 FE, Tab S10 FE+, and Tab S10 Lite. The expansion follows the earlier release of One UI 9 for Samsung's Galaxy Tab S11 series.
The update is initially being distributed in South Korea. ComputerBase reports that Samsung typically extends these rollouts to additional markets within hours or days, although the company has not announced a specific international release schedule for the affected tablets. Owners can check for availability through the software update section of their device settings.
One UI 9 introduces additional customization options for the Quick Panel and changes affecting Samsung DeX, Samsung Notes, and accessibility features. These improvements extend the software changes already introduced across Samsung's smartphone lineup to more of its tablet portfolio. Package sizes vary by model, ranging from approximately 2GB to nearly 4GB.
There is an important distinction between receiving Android 17 and receiving the newest security patch. ComputerBase reports that the Galaxy Tab S10 devices covered by this rollout remain on the September 2026 security patch after installation. By comparison, the earlier Android 17 updates for Samsung smartphones and the Galaxy Tab S11 series included the October 2026 security update.
The November 6 development is the expansion of an existing operating-system rollout rather than the introduction of a new Samsung software platform. Availability outside South Korea remains dependent on subsequent regional releases, and Samsung has not provided a definitive timetable for every affected model.
