REDMAGIC has published an October 16 preview of its upcoming 12 Pro gaming phone. The manufacturer lists a Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset, an 8,400mAh battery, 80W wireless charging and an AMOLED display with a refresh rate up to 185Hz.\[3\]

It also describes a dual-loop liquid-cooling system, a fan and its R5 gaming chip. Those are manufacturer specifications and design claims, not independently measured evidence that the phone avoids throttling or outlasts rivals.\[3\]

The announcement leaves exact availability information for a later update and does not establish a U.S. price or shipping date. The source is REDMAGIC’s regional MEA blog, so these details should not be read as a confirmed U.S. retail configuration.\[3\]

Our take: sustained performance matters more than a headline refresh rate. Buyers will need game-support details, thermal testing and region-specific sales information before this becomes a meaningful purchase comparison.
