Apple Music 7.0 is rolling out to Android users with a substantial visual overhaul inspired by Apple's Liquid Glass design language. According to reporting published by 9to5Google on October 30, the release follows approximately a month of beta testing and brings the updated interface to the widely available version distributed through Google Play. The rollout marks a transition from preview software to general availability rather than the first appearance of the redesign.

The most noticeable change is a floating navigation bar along the bottom of the screen. Instead of occupying a conventional solid strip, the navigation element uses transparency to reveal some of the content underneath. The mini-player has also been separated from the navigation bar and given a floating appearance. Unlike the implementation on iOS, the Android navigation bar does not contract into a smaller form while scrolling.

Apple has revised the application's visual identity as well. The familiar red-background music icon gives way to a black or white version depending on the device theme, while blue becomes the interface's primary accent color. The application also adopts an edge-to-edge layout that extends into Android's system status and navigation areas, making the overall presentation more consistent with the new design.

Changes extend beyond the main navigation. Artist pages now adapt their backgrounds to cover artwork and feature repositioned controls, including a more prominent playback button. The Library tab moves editing options into an overflow menu, while Settings receives reorganized groups. The Now Playing screen remains comparatively unchanged, suggesting Apple prioritized navigation and presentation over redesigning every part of the listening experience.

For Android subscribers, the update primarily changes how Apple Music looks and how users navigate the existing service. The October 30 report does not identify a new subscription tier, sound-quality improvement, or expanded music catalog accompanying version 7.0. Its immediate significance is the wider release of an interface Apple had previously made available to beta testers in September.
