Alphacool Adds a White Apex 1 CPU Water Block for AM5 Custom Cooling Builds
The new finish brings Alphacool's premium Apex 1 design to white-themed systems, retaining its offset cooling architecture, copper construction and integrated RGB lighting.

Alphacool has expanded its Apex 1 CPU water block lineup with a white version designed for AMD's AM5 platform. The new model is available through the manufacturer's online store, giving custom liquid-cooling enthusiasts another finish option without requiring them to move to a different cooling design. Hardwareluxx reported the new availability on November 2, 2026.
The Apex 1 originally entered Alphacool's product roadmap in January 2024, with commercial availability following later. Its design combines a substantial copper cooling base with a brass connection assembly and an aluminum exterior. The white edition retains the distinctive angular housing and addressable RGB lighting, including illumination directed toward the system's memory slots.
For AMD AM5 processors, Alphacool positions the water block's cooling structure away from the geometric center of the CPU. This offset arrangement is intended to concentrate coolant flow around the processor's primary heat-generating area. The company also uses its 3D-Jetplate 2.0 design and a preliminary flow chamber to distribute coolant across the internal cooling fins. These are manufacturer-described engineering features rather than independently verified performance improvements for the new color variant.
The manufacturer lists dimensions of 100 by 86 by 32.3 millimeters, two G1/4-inch connections and a five-year warranty. Alphacool specifies nickel-plated copper for the cooling block, nickel-plated brass for the fittings and aluminum for the housing. The white AM5 model is listed at €189.98 on the manufacturer's product page, with stock indicated at the time of retrieval.
The release is primarily an expansion of the Apex 1's visual options rather than a new cooling platform. Buyers planning white-themed custom loops can now select a matching block while retaining the established Apex 1 architecture. Alphacool recommends transparent coolants and warns that particulate or pastel additives can obstruct the internal cooling structures.
