The Best iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max Screen Protectors of 2026: Our Buying Guide
Our picks for the best iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max screen protectors in the US: best overall, best privacy, best anti-glare, best budget, best easy-install kit and best camera lens protector.
Buying guide
Updated November 2026
The display is the part of your iPhone you touch hundreds of times a day, and it's the part most likely to get scratched against keys or cracked on a sidewalk. Apple's Ceramic Shield 2 resists scratches better than older iPhone glass, but it isn't scratch-proof and it isn't drop-proof. A good screen protector costs less than a lunch out and takes a minute to apply. Our team compared this season's protectors for the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max on glass quality, clarity, installation, coatings and value, and picked the ones worth buying. Still choosing a phone? Start with our guide to the best phones.
As of November 2026, the iPhone 18 lineup includes only the iPhone 18 Pro (6.3-inch) and iPhone 18 Pro Max (6.9-inch), plus the foldable iPhone Duo. The regular iPhone 18 is due in spring 2027. So every protector below is for the 18 Pro or 18 Pro Max, and each comes in separate sizes for the two phones. And if you still need something for the back of your phone, see our guide to the best iPhone 18 cases.
A note on prices and sizes: screen protectors are cheap and often discounted further around Black Friday (November 27) and Cyber Monday (November 30). Our prices are approximate. Our buttons go to the iPhone 18 Pro (6.3-inch) listing; Pro Max owners should choose the 6.9-inch version, since the two sizes are not interchangeable. Because the 18 Pro has the same panel size as the 17 Pro, many listings say "17 Pro/18 Pro", but Apple did shrink the Dynamic Island this year, so we prefer listings that name the iPhone 18 Pro.

Spigen GlasTR EZ Fit
The protector that goes on perfectly the first time
- Fits:
- iPhone 18 Pro (separate Pro Max version)
- Glass:
- AluminaCore, ion-exchange strengthened
- Hardness:
- Rated 10H (maker claim)
- Install:
- EZ Fit auto-alignment tray
- In the box:
- 2 protectors
- Price:
- around $20
If you only buy one screen protector for your iPhone 18 Pro, make it this one. Spigen's EZ Fit tray is the reason: it clips over the phone and holds the glass in exactly the right place, so you press down, peel a tab and you're done. No crooked edges, and far fewer trapped bubbles or dust specks than with freehand application. That matters more than any spec sheet, because a badly installed protector is the one you end up peeling off.
The glass itself is Spigen's AluminaCore, made from high-purity alumina silicate and strengthened through ion exchange, and it keeps the screen looking clear and the touch response smooth. An oleophobic coating cuts down on fingerprints, and Face ID and the Always-On display work normally. At around $20 for two, you also get a spare for when the first one eventually takes a hit.
What we like
- Easiest first-time install we know
- Strong, clear AluminaCore glass
- Two protectors per box
- Smooth, fingerprint-resistant feel
What we don't
- No anti-glare or privacy coating
- Costs more than budget multi-packs
Want privacy too? Spigen also sells a GlasTR EZ Fit Privacy version with the same tray and a filter that darkens the screen from the side.
ESR Armorite Pro
Corning glass and an anti-reflective coating, with backups in the box
- Fits:
- iPhone 18 Pro (separate Pro Max version)
- Glass:
- Accessory Glass by Corning
- Impact:
- 10x impact absorption vs. generic glass (maker claim)
- Coating:
- Anti-reflective
- In the box:
- 3 protectors, UltraFit installation tray
- Price:
- around $30–$36
If you've cracked a screen protector before and want something tougher, ESR's Armorite Pro is our pick. It uses Accessory Glass by Corning, the company behind Apple's display glass, and ESR rates it for ten times the impact absorption of a generic tempered glass protector. It's the one we'd choose for people who are hard on their phones but don't want a thick, rugged case.
The anti-reflective coating is a welcome bonus: it noticeably cuts glare from overhead lights and sunlight without dulling colors. ESR's two-step UltraFit tray makes installation easy, and three protectors in the box is generous at this price. It's the most expensive protector in our guide, though, so if you just want scratch protection, the Spigen above or a budget pack is plenty.
What we like
- Corning-made glass
- Anti-reflective coating
- Three protectors per box
- Easy tray installation
What we don't
- Priciest pick here
- Overkill if you just want scratch protection
Want a warranty instead? ZAGG's Glass Elite has reinforced edges and a limited lifetime replacement warranty (you pay shipping on replacements), and the UltraGlass TOP 9H+ Armor adds a sapphire-infused surface layer.
OMOTON Privacy Screen Protector
Keep your messages to yourself on trains, planes and in open offices
- Fits:
- iPhone 18 Pro
- Privacy filter:
- 28-degree viewing angle
- Hardness:
- 9H+ (maker claim)
- Install:
- Alignment tool with auto dust removal
- In the box:
- 2 protectors
- Price:
- around $18
If you read messages on public transit, work in an open office or just don't like people glancing at your screen, a privacy protector solves a problem regular glass doesn't even try to address. OMOTON's version uses a 28-degree anti-spy filter: the screen looks normal from straight on but goes dark to anyone looking from the side. Underneath, you get 9H+ tempered glass for everyday scratch and drop protection.
Installation is straightforward thanks to the auto dust removal and alignment tool, and two protectors in the box give you a second try. Keep in mind the trade-offs that come with every privacy protector: the screen looks a little darker overall, colors shift as soon as you tilt the phone, and it's less fun for sharing photos or videos with the person next to you. Take it off if you care about color accuracy for photo editing.
What we like
- Effective side-angle privacy
- Affordable two-pack
- Easy installation
What we don't
- Dims the screen slightly
- Colors shift off-angle
- Not ideal for sharing your screen
Other privacy options: the ESR Armorite Privacy (three-pack, with an installation tray) and the Spigen GlasTR EZ Fit Privacy both narrow the viewing angle with easier tray installs.
TORRAS SunView AR
For people who use their phone outdoors or under harsh lighting
- Fits:
- iPhone 18 Pro (separate Pro Max version)
- Coating:
- Anti-reflective
- Drop protection:
- Up to 10 feet (maker claim)
- Coverage:
- Borderless, edge to edge
- Install:
- Alignment frame
- Price:
- around $25
Glare is the biggest complaint we hear about glossy screen protectors, and the TORRAS SunView AR is built specifically to fight it. Instead of the frosted, grainy look of a matte film, it uses an anti-reflective coating that cuts mirror-like reflections from the sun and office lights while keeping the display crisp and colors accurate. That makes it a better choice than matte for most people, especially on a bright, high-resolution iPhone 18 Pro display.
It doesn't sacrifice protection to get there: TORRAS rates the glass for drops of up to 10 feet, and the borderless design covers the whole screen edge to edge. Face ID works normally, and an alignment frame helps with installation. It costs a bit more than a plain clear protector, and it isn't the one to pick if you want the hard, slick feel of uncoated glass.
What we like
- Noticeably cuts glare
- Keeps colors and sharpness
- Strong drop rating
- Full edge-to-edge coverage
What we don't
- Costs more than basic glass
- Not a true matte, paper-like finish
Already have Corning in mind? The ESR Armorite Pro above also has an anti-reflective coating, with three protectors in the box.
Ailun Tempered Glass Screen Protector (3-pack)
Basic, reliable protection for less than a coffee
- Fits:
- iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro (6.3-inch)
- Thickness:
- 0.33mm
- Glass:
- Tempered, laser-cut, polished edges
- Coating:
- Hydrophobic and oleophobic
- In the box:
- 3 protectors
- Price:
- around $7–$8
Ailun has been a go-to budget screen protector for years, and its three-pack for the iPhone 18 Pro is the easiest way to protect your screen for next to nothing. The thin 0.33mm tempered glass keeps the display clear and touch response accurate, the laser-cut, polished edges fit cleanly, and a coating repels sweat, oil and fingerprints so the screen is easier to wipe.
Three protectors in a box means you can mess up an install, or replace a scratched one months later, without buying again. What you give up compared with the Spigen or ESR is the better glass, the premium installation tray and any extra coatings. For a kid's phone, a work phone or anyone who swaps protectors often, that's a trade worth making.
What we like
- Extremely affordable
- Three per pack
- Clear, responsive glass
What we don't
- Basic installation frame
- No anti-glare or privacy options in this pack
- No headline drop rating
Other budget packs: JETech's three-pack (around $6–$8) includes an alignment tool, and Mkeke's three-pack (around $10–$13) adds an alignment frame and a 9H rating.
amFilm OneTouch
Screen and camera protection in one box, installed in about 30 seconds
- Fits:
- iPhone 18 Pro 6.3-inch (separate Pro Max version)
- Hardness:
- 9H (maker claim)
- Install:
- OneTouch automatic alignment kit
- Coating:
- Hydrophobic and oil-repellent
- In the box:
- Screen protectors plus camera lens protectors
- Price:
- around $10
If the idea of applying a screen protector makes you nervous, amFilm's OneTouch kit is the one to get. You place the phone in the tray, press once, and the glass sets itself into position, a process amFilm says takes about 30 seconds and backs with a bubble-free guarantee. It's the closest thing to a store-installed protector you can do at home.
It's also excellent value, because the kit includes camera lens protectors along with the screen glass (the Pro Max kit has two screen protectors and four lens protectors), so you cover the two parts of the phone most likely to get scratched for around $10. The 9H glass has a coating that resists fingerprints from sweat and oil. The glass isn't as premium as Corning or AluminaCore, but for most people that won't matter.
What we like
- Very easy, quick installation
- Includes camera lens protectors
- Great value
- Bubble-free guarantee
What we don't
- Standard tempered glass, no extra coatings
- Lens covers aren't for everyone
Spigen GlasTR EZ Fit Camera Lens Protector
Protect the lenses without changing the look of your iPhone
- Fits:
- iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max
- Design:
- Individual tempered glass rings
- Hardness:
- 9H (maker claim)
- Install:
- EZ Fit alignment tray
- In the box:
- 2 sets, Black finish
- Price:
- around $15
The iPhone 18 Pro's cameras stick out further than anything else on the phone, and a scratch on a lens shows up in every photo. Spigen's lens protector puts a separate tempered glass ring over each rear lens, so it protects the glass without covering the whole camera plateau, and the black finish blends in with the phone. The listing covers both the iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max.
Like Spigen's screen protector, it comes with an EZ Fit tray that seats every ring in the right spot, which is the hardest part of installing lens protectors by hand. Spigen says the glass is tuned to avoid haze and flash reflections in low light. Two sets per box gives you a spare. Do check that your case leaves room around the lenses: very tight camera cutouts can rub against raised rings.
What we like
- Individual rings keep the iPhone's look
- Alignment tray for easy install
- Fits both Pro sizes
- Two sets per box
What we don't
- Doesn't protect the whole camera plateau
- Can clash with tight case cutouts
Want to cover the whole camera bump? TORRAS makes a one-piece alloy plate with 9H+ lens glass made exclusively for the iPhone 18 Pro (about $29). For less, ESR's individual lens rings cost about $10.

How to choose an iPhone 18 Pro screen protector: 6 things that matter
1. Buy the exact size
The iPhone 18 Pro (6.3-inch) and 18 Pro Max (6.9-inch) need different protectors. The 18 Pro shares its panel size with the 17 Pro, but the Dynamic Island is smaller this year, so listings that specifically name the iPhone 18 Pro or Pro Max are the safest choice.
2. Tempered glass beats film
Glass feels like the real screen, resists scratches better and is easier to install. Plastic film is thinner and cheaper but scratches easily and feels different under your finger. Every pick in this guide is glass.
3. Hardness and drop ratings measure different things
A "9H" or "10H" rating describes scratch resistance, not how well the glass survives a fall. Drop ratings (like TORRAS's 10 feet) are separate and come from the makers' own tests, so use them as a rough guide rather than a guarantee.
4. Choose your coating: clear, anti-glare or privacy
Clear glass keeps the display looking untouched. Anti-reflective coatings cut glare without the grainy look of matte film. Privacy filters hide your screen from the side but dim it slightly and shift colors off-angle.
5. Installation matters most
The best glass is useless if it goes on crooked or full of dust. Alignment trays like Spigen's EZ Fit, ESR's UltraFit or amFilm's OneTouch make a big difference. Install in a steamy bathroom (after a shower) to reduce dust, and clean the screen thoroughly first.
6. Make sure it works with your case
Most protectors are "case-friendly," meaning they stop just short of the edges so a case lip doesn't lift them. Very thick or rugged cases can still push on the edges, so check compatibility. Our guide to the best iPhone 18 cases has picks that pair well with a protector.
Frequently asked questions
Does the iPhone 18 Pro need a screen protector?
We recommend one. Ceramic Shield 2 is tougher and more scratch-resistant than older iPhone glass, but it isn't scratch-proof, and a protector is a cheap sacrificial layer that's far easier to replace than the display. If you're still deciding on a phone, see our guide to the best phones.
Will an iPhone 17 Pro screen protector fit the iPhone 18 Pro?
Mostly. The panel is the same 6.3 inches (6.9 inches on the Pro Max), but Apple made the Dynamic Island smaller on the 18 Pro, so an older protector may not sit as precisely. Buy a listing that names the iPhone 18 Pro when you can.
Is there a screen protector for the regular iPhone 18?
Not yet, because the phone isn't out. Apple is expected to release the standard iPhone 18 in spring 2027, so for now, iPhone 18 protectors are for the 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max only.
Do screen protectors affect Face ID or touch response?
Not if they're made for your phone. All of our picks are designed to work with Face ID and keep touch response smooth. Very cheap, unbranded film is where problems usually start.
Do I need a camera lens protector?
It's optional. A case with a raised lip around the cameras protects them from most bumps, but lens protectors guard against scratches when the phone is in a pocket or bag. If you want both, the amFilm OneTouch kit includes them. And for a case to go with it, see our guide to the best iPhone 18 cases.
